Black Marlin Cairns, Australia

Capt. Tim Richardson on Tradition with Steve “Scuba” Hall and Ryan O’Halloran working the deck, put Angler Stetson Gath on this massive 1,220 lbs. Black Marlin. The fish was caught on a lure and was part of a double header, but they pulled the hooks on the smaller 400 lbs. fish. This is the largest fish weighed on the Great Barrier Reef this year and the largest in Capt. Richardson’s career.

Blue Marlin Kona, Hawaii

Capt. Chip Van Mols hooked angler Dean Lemman to his fish of a lifetime by trolling an Erik Rusnak "Smash bait" off the famous Kona Coast. Dean fought the fish by using a Shimano two-speed reel spooled with 130-lb test line. Crewman Shawn Bebeau handled the deck and gaffing chores at the climax of the two-hour, 20-minute battle. This is Capt. Van Mols' fourth grander. Dean's fishing team, Team Dinero, is made up of Dean and Tim Lemman, Adam Garside and Josh Little.
