Maui, HI – Captains Jay Rifkin and Chris Cole on the Jun Ken Po caught a 1,058 lbs. Blue Marlin. The fish was caught on a Purple Soft Head with a Hays Hook in 200 Fathoms off Menele Bay, Lanai. They also managed a Blue Marlin in the 200 lbs. range on the same day.
On a side note, this is only the 2nd Grander caught in the World of 2015, with the other one also coming from Hawaii and also weighing 1,058 lbs.
