Kona, HI – What a year for the Big Island and for the Northern Lights Fleet. Capt. Matt Bowman¬†and Kyle Vanatta on Northern Lights weighed a 1,309 lbs. Blue Marlin. This is the 5th Grander for the Big Island, the 2nd over 1,300 for the year and the 12th Largest ever caught in Hawaiian Waters. This is the the 3rd fish over 1,200 lbs this year as well and the 2nd Grander on a Northern Lights boat. The 1,309 had a 151” Short, 74” Girth and a 19.5” Tail.
