Lady Musgrave Island, Australia – It has been over 40-Years since the Billfishing Community has seen a Black Marlin over 1,400 lbs. To call this fish special, would be an insult. This is the 2nd Largest Black Marlin to ever be weighed in Australia and the 3rd Largest ever in our sport.
Team Too Easy II weighed a 1,431 lbs. Black Marlin. The boat was Captained by Russel Gage with Crewman Terry Parker and Elliot Mul. The Angler was Rob Crane, who fought the fish for over 2-Hours on 130# Tackle, fishing mostly full drag during the fight. The fish ate a “Gagey Super Plunger” made by the Captain. The fish had a 153” Short Measurement, 88” Girth Measurement and a 22.5” Tail Measurement.
