Cairns, Australia – To say the Great Barrier Reef has been on fire is an understatement. We just got word from Craig Watson that Capt. Dan McCarthy on Moana III just released a 1,100 lbs. Black Marlin. We obviously like social media, but when you get pictures of the fish when the guys are still fishing, that is pretty cool.

What also make this unique is that it was caught on a Blue Dog Lure. This is the 8th Grander Marlin caught on a Blue Dog Lure and the 5th by Capt. McCarthy.
