January 500+ Club

January 2011 – 500+ Club

We are still waiting for our first Grander of 2011, but that is not to say there were not plenty of big fish reported to us in January.

Biggest of 2011 thus far reported to us goes to Capt. Chad Contessa on Bite Me for a very impressive 917 lbs Blue Marlin caught in Kona, Hawaii. Speaking of Kona, they were our top location by far in January, accounting for ELEVEN (11) 500+ Blue Marlin. Tropic Star Lodge down in Panama released the most 500+ Black Marlin (2) and there were no Swordfish over 500 lbs reported.
